The Most Beautiful Roof in the World by Kathryn Lasky

“Mom, it’s getting dark, time to come down from that tree!” How many kids get to say that? Meg Lowman’s sons do—their mom likes to climb trees. Really, really big trees. Meg is a botanist who studies the rainforest canopy, and this is a book about her adventurous life and work. The canopy is where most of the life of the rainforest happens, and it’s a whole different world up there, full of plants, animals, and insects completely different from the ones on the ground. A good book to read in a treehouse.
