How Monkeys Make Chocolate by Adrian Forsyth

Chocolate, vanilla, cola, gum—the rainforest is a yummy place, and gives us many useful and delicious plants. This book looks at some of them: cocoa and vanilla beans from the Amazon, chicle sap that makes chewing gum, and many other useful and tasty (if sometimes odd-looking) forest products. I like this book because it makes a different argument for preserving the rainforests: we can get a lot more out of them by not cutting them down.
