A Look at Moons

A Look at Moons

You have probably noticed one moon—Earth's, the big white thing in the sky—but there are a lot more moons out there, if you know where to look. (Around planets is best.)  This is a good book if you want to find out all about the other moons. It has catalogs of the different moons of all the planets, what they're made of, how they formed, and has pictures of lots of them.  It also has good chapters on some of the spacecraft that are exploring all these moons, and the planets they orbit. Some moons are huge, some are tiny, some are lumpy, some are round, some are icy, some are hot, and some have weird atmospheres scientists are just beginning to figure out.  So if you're looking for a moon to visit someday, check this book out.
