Babar’s Yoga for Elephants

by Laurent de Brunhoff (Harry N. Abrams, 2002)
Babar's Yoga for Elephants

Yoga is a way of moving your body into stretching positions that is a lot like dance, only slower. It's a good way to get stronger and more flexible. This slightly silly book has instructions for doing some simple (but real) yoga exercises for beginners, as demonstrated by Babar the Elephant and his wife Celeste.  In the second half of the book they do some of their favorite yoga positions in famous places around the world.  This book was written by the real author of Babar, who likes to do yoga himself and wanted  a more fun yoga book.  The diagrams are clear and easy to follow, and the exercises are not too hard, although you might not need the instructions on what to do with your trunk.  It even comes with a handy poster to put up on your wall when exercising!  Yes, yoga is not just for elephants anymore.
