Contest
Design a Totem Pole

Native peoples of the Pacific Northwest carve elaborate totem poles to celebrate their families and clans. The poles might show important people, animals, spirits, events in their history, and stories from their mythology. For this month's contest, design a totem pole for yourself, your family, or some special club or group that you belong to. What important things should it show? Draw us a picture, and we'll print a forest of them in an upcoming issue of
Ask magazine.
