To make your walking paper Bot, you’ll need to follow three steps:

1. Print the instructions PDF.
2. Print the body pieces PDF.
3. Watch the video on how to put your Bot together.

1. PRINT THIS PDF (The instructions) on plain paper.

VERY IMPORTANT!!!
Before you print the body pieces, ask a grownup to check your printer settings. In the “Print” settings, look for a box that looks like this:

PC:

Mac:

Set this box to “scale 100%” or “Page scaling: None”
Scaling causes the pattern pieces to change shape slightly, so the Bot won’t walk right.

When you have the printer settings set to 100% or No Scaling:

2. PRINT THIS PDF (The body pieces) on HEAVY paper, such as cardstock, index paper, or photo printing paper. If you don’t have any of these you can also cut a manila folder in half and trim it to paper size, and print the pieces on that. If you don’t have a color printer, that’s OK! This Bot still looks great in black and white!
